A Grouse Goes A-Courtin'

It was late winter, almost spring, and this ruffed grouse was conspicuous in his single-mindedness - attracted by a female feeding nearby. Undeterred by what was going on around him, he stood in this position under the pines for at least an hour this sunny morning and focused only on the hen with his ruffs displayed in order to attract her attention.
